IFSMA Now Accepting Nominations for Upcoming Election


The current IFSMA board of directors is requesting nominations to fill 4 board positions for the term beginning April 2021 to March 2023. You can nominate yourself and/or any other IFSMA member(s). If you're not sure of someone's membership status, you can check here. All nominations will be cross-checked against the current membership database.


This year's election timeline is as follows:

Until 03/12/2020 (5pm) - Nomination of candidates

03/13/2020 to 04/07/2020 (11am) - Online Voting of candidates

Announcement of the results will occur at our Annual Membership Meeting in April 2021.

Online Nominations and Voting

Please submit your nomination(s) via our online nomination form. There is no limit to the number of candidates you can submit. Remember, all nominations are to be submitted prior to 5pm on March 12, 2020. Once nominations are confirmed, an email with a link to the online voting portal will be sent out by email.

IFSMA is an Iowa Corporation, organized for the purposes of:

  • promoting public awareness and education of proper floodplain and stormwater management;
  • promoting the professional status of floodplain and stormwater professionals;
  • enhancing cooperation and exchange of information among professionals in fields related to floodplain and stormwater management;
  • disseminating general and technical information about hazard mitigation and disaster prevention;and
  • informing concerned individuals about pending floodplain and stormwater management legislation.
